Adela’s Country Eatery on building the business, supporting local agriculture

After decades of working together at various restaurant and retail jobs, longtime friends Millie Chan and Adela Visitacion launched their own venture, Adela’s Country Eatery, in 2019.

Specializing in hand-crafted noodles made with local vegetables, the Kaneohe restaurant was inspired by a work trip to Japan the pair once took for a previous job. In between work events, they had a week off in Hokkaido and wanted to spend that time engaged in the local culture.
